Description
Morrigan Fallward is a very tall, sturdily built older woman — tall as a goliath — usually seen clad in heavy plate armour bearing Tyr’s emblem with evident pride. She is the younger sister of Morlock Fallward, and unlike her brother, age doesn’t seem to be catching up with her: she remains as active as she was in her prime. Her fellow knights have taken to explaining this as a gift bestowed on her by Tyr himself, unable to find a better reason why the years don’t show in her actions.
Where Morlock is willing to try something new, Morrigan is his conventional opposite — she has little patience for experimenting when a proven, tested method already exists for the task at hand.
She began her career as a Paladin of The Silver Hand, climbing its ranks quickly on the strength of her feats of courage. Later, she took it upon herself to found The Silver Syndicate — a place within the Silver Hand for those who didn’t really fit anywhere else.
Motivations
- To keep her family and the followers of Boldrei safe. She converted from a priest of Boldrei to a Paladin of Tyr early in her adult life.
- Like her brother, she is willing to lend her healing, though hers is not as powerful as his.
- Works hard in her role as arbiter, aiming to judge people and settle disputes as fairly as she can.
Role in the Campaign
- Oversees the day-to-day activities of The Silver Syndicate.
- Has personally helped convince followers indoctrinated by Lolth to change their lives, by severing them from her influence.
Relationships
- Morlock Fallward — Older brother; still active as Church of Boldrei’s retired High Priest. His willingness to try new approaches makes him her conventional opposite in temperament.
- Arioch Cathmor Sephtis — A drow wizard whose backstory is already tied to The Silver Syndicate, the organization Morrigan founded and oversees.
