Three candidates are competing in the election:
Elis Kulf (Human, current mayor and Labs Speaker) campaigns on technological dominance, public health infrastructure, and industrial expansion. Her vision is for Chrysalis to become not just Terra’s intellectual capital but a globally recognised centre of medical and technological innovation. Critics note that his definition of “public health” seems to prioritise the Labs’ research interests over ordinary citizens’ immediate concerns about oripathy.
Grothor Morain (Goliath, Speaker of Dragon Logistics) campaigns on agricultural rights, environmental preservation, and decentralising power away from the Labs. His support base includes Feygarden’s farming communities, workers concerned about originium exposure, and those who resent the Labs’ institutional dominance. What his critics emphasise—correctly—is that Dragon Logistics has its own interests in originium research and its own classified projects that Grothor does not discuss publicly.
Leonore of Alyss (Tiefling, backed by the Al’ar family) campaigns on representing the underclass, economic redistribution, and integrating the drow and other marginalised populations into surface society. Her support comes from Northward’s non-human residents, Dawn Town’s exploited workers, and anyone who feels the current system has left them behind. Her connection to the Al’ar family—who maintain a military presence in the underdark and are collaborating with Rhine Lab on the classified Horizon Arc Project—raises questions about whose interests she would actually serve as mayor.
The election is scheduled for Rhaan 9th—Boldrei’s Feast, the traditional day for government elections. It is three weeks away. The campaign has grown increasingly bitter as each candidate weaponises the oripathy crisis against their opponents.
