Following the public death incident, Chrysalis Labs faces a credibility crisis. The Labs needs external investigators—people not directly tied to the institution—to conduct a transparent inquiry into oripathy cases within the city and provide an honest assessment of the situation.

The investigation should cover:

1. Dawn Town’s elevated oripathy rates and working conditions
2. The six-year-old child with visible crystallisation begging near the river
3. Correlation between originium exposure and disease progression
4. Whether the Labs’ current safety protocols are adequate

• Characters with medical or investigative backgrounds

Starting Point:

Meeting with senior Labs staff in the Research Campus. Characters are given provisional research credentials and access to non-classified medical records.

This investigation will inevitably lead characters toward uncomfortable truths—the Labs has been suppressing information, Dawn Town workers are being systematically exposed to dangerous conditions, and treatment options are more limited than publicly acknowledged. The question becomes: what do the characters do with what they learn?
