Ambystoma was one of the first creatures developed for its aquatic sector — grown in a tank rather than born, given a “test-run” release into the world with a tracking spell cast on her so her creators always know where she is. Her sister Urodela was developed alongside her.
What the project’s ultimate purpose is — soldiers, successors to a dying population, or something else — has not been disclosed even to its own subjects.
